My name is Gary Cummins. I am a creative photographer from Ireland, living in Toronto, Canada. Photography is my outlet, my meditation. It’s a means to show you the world as I see it. Vibrant and engaging. You’ll find me drop in the cities we live in, or out in the dark nights of the countryside, photographing the stars. Where on the ground with my camera, or in the air with my drone. I’ll show you something different. We are all explorers! Never stop!

Method

This series encompasses two different methods of photography. Light painting and Astro-photography. Here I take photos of the night sky and then separately take multiple exposures of the foreground while illuminating it with my DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone and two Lume Cubes.

This allows me to capture a clean low-noise foreground. It also adds a new, different element to the scene. As if it’s being lit from above by a source unknown.
