Among the Giants // Yosemite Firefall Series I

First in the series, this image is a single frame pulled from a timelapse sequence recorded high above Yosemite Valley during Firefall 2021. After many location scouts throughout the week, we found ourselves hiking off-trail, clambering up boulders, and snowshoeing through densely packed ice to find this hidden vantage point of Horsetail Falls cascading off El Capitan. Not only did we witness the elusive Firefall, but we were able to share the experience with a few good friends. For me, there is no greater feeling in this world than completing a mission as complex as this one and walking away with something special. After speaking with a few veteran Yosemite photographers that evening, it's said that this particular display of Firefall was the best in the last decade; coincidentally landing right on iconic landscape photographer Ansel Adam's birthday - Feb 20th, 1902.

Upon request, the first collector receives a signed fine art print to hang on their wall.
