The Core Over the Italian Dolomites: Nikon D610

Written and Photographed by Enrico Righetti

Artist

My name is Enrico Righetti and I’m a young freelance timelapser and photographer specializing in landscape and adventure photography. I live in the North of Italy and since I was young I loved exploring the mountain and live among nature. Capturing these simple and genuine moments that life could give you is my passion.

I started with landscape photography but nowadays I prefer timelapse because it gives me more time to contemplate and observe nature and its changes while the camera slides along the slider or pan overhead.

About the Image

Some years ago while I was navigating Google Earth to find new locations for my trip I discovered this incredible destination. For many years I dreamt to reach this location and sleep near the glacier with my tent. However only this summer I had the opportunity to visit. I got lucky and had perfect conditions for a night photography session; clear skies and a new moon. When I first saw the preview image on my LCD monitor the only thing that I was on my mind was “Yes man, I’ve dreamt of this shot for years!”. Passion and hard work are the only real way to reach your dream and for me this shot is the example.
