Polar Express: Timelapse of Morant's Curve

Written and Photographed by Jonathan Stauffer

Sequence

Composed of nearly 1,500 photographs, this timelapse captures the passing freight trains along the Canadian Pacific Railway in Banff National Park. At fifteen second exposures per image, the result is a quick flash of light as the trains appear to hurdle by, when in reality, trains can take minutes to pass.
